To Change One’s Yahoo Password

by admin on July 20, 2012

At the bottom of any TamworthExchange or Sandwich Board message, click on “Visit My Group”
At the next page in the top left corner, click on “sign in”
At the next page enter your current user name and password
At the next page in the top left corner, click on the little arrow pointing down, and choose “Account Info”, you’ll be asked for your password again, enter it and proceed to the Account Information page.
Once there, click on “Change your password”
Enter your current password, then your new password twice in the boxes provided.

From Yahoo:

“Your password should be easy for you to remember but hard for others to guess.   Never share your password with anyone, and never reuse a password that you’ve used before.  Your password must be at least six characters long. Use a combination of capital and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters (such as +, ?, and *) in your password. (Yahoo! passwords are case-sensitive.)”

When you’re satisfied, and you’ve written your new password down somewhere,

click “save”.

Then sign out,

and back in again

to make sure it works.

To be the most secure you should change your password often. How often? Well, the more often the more secure. No matter how secure your password is, if Yahoo, or Hotmail, or Google or your Bank’s security is breached, and it happens all the time, your account could be compromised. If you keep changing your password, it’ll minimize your exposure.
